Digging Into The Word

Today, I am joining in with the ladies over at Proverbs31jewels.org for their Digging in the Word Blog Hop Party.
Today, I am reading over again in Proverbs 3:5-6

Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

This particular verse speaks volume to me.
A year ago last June my husband lost his job of 20 years, This was a very difficult time for us and we had a hard time meeting our basic needs and pay our home mortgage. Proverbs 3:5-6 has always been close to my heart but, now I had to really learn to Trust and Rely on God in every way..even though I thought I had before, God really showed me that I really just need to trust him to get us through-this wasn't easy for either my husband or myself, as humans we worry and wonder where is this going to come from, I know that I myself wondered that many times and I know my husband did too, but our wonderful Father sent us many angels that blessed us with money for groceries. I will never forget these angels and what they mean to me, as they touched my heart deeply.
We were in the process of for closure on our house etc.
Finally in May, my husband and I made the decision to step out in Faith and have him go to North Dakota where there is work as the area we are in at this time the jobs are not there..He found a temporarily job right away  and in July he landed an amazing job and I am so thankful and grateful for what the Lord is doing in our behalf, today we got good news that we are going to be able to keep our home..
I can say that Proverbs 3:5-6 has become very dear to my heart, I thought before that it was but, now even more so and as I continue to trust him for things in life..God's word says in Matthew 6:25-26
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
This is something that I need to remember for myself that God loves me so much that He will provide for me and care for me-I just need to continue to trust in Him and believe that what He says in His Word is true and that God will never go back on what He has promised us.

  1. Wow, Rachelle! That is powerful! That passage is timeless! Every day, we need to remember to Lean on Him, not our own limited understanding! no matter 'how smart' we are, He is wise and all knowing and His way are not ours! He will guide us if we just let go and have some faith! That is hard for me sometimes. Thank you for always being an inspiration to me!!!

    (((hugs))))
