BFS #106 — Have It Your Way!

Memory Verse: Isaiah 40: 1- Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.

Intro: “Have It Your Way” (Burger King) - As cooler weather approaches and the winter eases into our doors I like to lounge by the fire after a hot shower. I love to make soups that are brimming with a rich and full flavor. In our home there’s nothing better than a hot bowl of soup or and a hot cup of coffee or cocoa on a cold winter night.

Assignment: Tell us all about how your have “your” relaxing time, more especially how during the cooler months you take time to curl up with your favorite movie, book, Bible study, and what your favorite warm drink would be.

In the cooler months I like to have a nice cup of General Mills International French Vanilla Cafe~The children love Hot Cocoa when they come in from playing in the snow or just on a cold night..I love to make home made soups (chicken and noodle) is one of our favorites :) I also love to sit in my living room in my nice reclyner, and crochet or knit, I am posting a picture of one of my afghans, I don't find much relaxing moments for myself but when I do, I sit and read or I crochet.

This is a Basket Weave Afghan I just recently finished, I didn't like the color at first but, then after i got half way through I started liking how it came together.

One of my favorite relaxing places is in my room, where I can just lounge and read or do my devotions.

I am reading "Having a Mary Spirit" as my devotions

right now...

A verse I am sharing is

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding..

In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.

  6. Beautiful afghan! I also love the pic of your books...journal, bible, and bible study...that is sooo me. :) I love journals! I do Bible studies but only with a group. I tend to get more out of them (and put more into them) when there are other ladies to add input in areas I wouldn't think of. :)

  7. Hi Rachelle,
    So nice to meet you.
    I Love to crochet what I call `Prayer Blankets`.
    I just finished `Having a Mary spirit in a Martha world`.
Have you read it? I thoroughly enjoyed it. I haven't done `Having a Mary spirit`, yet. But, I have it.
    Blessings,
    Michelle
