A Homeless Man and a Girl with a heart of compassion

How many times have we gone past someone in need, we see them everyday on the corners asking for help, but how many times have we gone past them never offering to lend a hand, I know that I have and Lord, please forgive me for that~God wants us to help those in need~we don't need to be concerned with what they will do with it~because God will take care of that but, we need to obey God's word when he tells us to help those in need. I am writing this today because today God used my daughter Courtney~to help a homeless man, there was a man in a wheelchair on the corner at wal-mart she had just gotten paid and was going in to cash her check, she only had 40 dollars~God moved on her heart so heavily that tears were pouring down her face and saying how sad it was, she came out of Walmart and was going to give him $10 dollars and then we drove by and she saw it said he was hungry, so we drove to Wendy's and got him some food and took it back to him and gave him $5 dollars..still tears pouring down her eyes..we prayed for the man and I prayed over my daughter that God would bless what she did..I am so proud of her.

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:35

  1. That is a moment that just makes your heart melt!! Your children serving the Lord freely and on their own. It is that moment that makes all the trials worth it!!

  2. Wow! What a wonderful story. This touched my heart because nowadays young people are so self-centered that they wouldn't have reached out like this. God is so good and His timing is perfect.

"Thank You Father for using Courtney to minister this man. I pray that you will continue to soften her heart that she will continue to reach out to others around her. In Jesus name. Amen!"
